Misc

Love Shea's cookie cutter accessories... if it can be turned into a bracelet, necklace, hat or skirt... it will be!!

Ode to the red table...

Now that the weather is changing (as gradually as that may be!), we are finding more and more of our fun happening around our beloved little red table. Art projects, snack time, science experiments, lego towers, story time, clay play and so much more... So glad these kiddos have fun together!
The kids worked so hard on their pumpkin patch and starry sky. Yay for food coloring!!
I especially got a kick out of our pumpkin painting project. Jaxon insisted on painting his entire pumpkin black because he only wanted a rotten pumpkin. Hmmmm?
That, and Dexter looking so cute in my apron.
The kids made a clay birthday cake and candles for Gramma... and then shared in the painting responsibilities. It was quite a little project and I loved seeing the pride on their faces when they were done!

Puppy Love

At a recent birthday party with friends, Dexter was introduced to a very kid-friendly dog and it was love at first sight. I found it utterly adorable... so here's to Dex, who spent an afternoon ooh-ing and aah-ing over this sweet animal. ... and because it wouldn't be fair not to include an action shot...
... and certainly, there were other canine admirers, as well...

Et voila!!

After much waiting (mostly by me... though, Dex was pretty sweet about periodically asking when his sweater would be finished), I have knitting a new set of sweaters for the boys. I am happy with these for several reasons, but most importantly, because the boys seem to like them, too. Yay!!! Now, I think I need a little break before starting a project for Shea. :)Jax-dark blue; Dex- light blue Cooperation? I think not!! :) Actually, we have entered a whole new phase in parenting... the eye roll. I may have to do a whole post on the dreaded eye roll... when it appears, I'm usually torn between laughter and frustration (mostly laughter, I must admit).

Naturally, Shea wanted to get in on the sweater photo shoot!

Oh, the silliness...
I can just hear her squealing, "Cheese!" Shea is also responsible for her hair-dos most days, which explains how she ends up with aabout 4-6 barrettes and/or bows, and occasionally an additional headband. Pretty funny.
