Fun with Mimi and Granddad. How can it be almost August?!?! D.R. started his new job today. We are all anxious to see him and hear all about it tonight. We were reflecting, last night, on how settled we feel (despite our lack of furniture :) ), and it's so strange to think that we've really only been in this home for a month, now. What a fantastic summer it has been, so far... much to enjoy and be thankful for.
Picnics in the backyard, visits with family and friends, watching the kiddos jump through the sprinkler or run through the house... these are just snapshots of a summer that has gone much too quickly. It's been just great. And, since the kiddos are waiting for me to finish this post so we can go outside and chalk up the driveway with a giant "Way to go, Daddy!"... I will keep this brief and just get to the photos!

The fourth of July parade we attended was an absolute hit with the whole family, but was made even greater when a junior high athlete handed Dex his jersey. The boys took turns wearing it for the rest of the day... with much pride. Jax is wearing it in these photos.
