Fabulous fall fun

Somehow, as I'm looking through photos of the boys' first week at school, I realize we have found our way into November.  How does this happen?  Our days continue to be full and lively and fly by much too quickly for me... I suspect that is just the way it will be...
 My serious Dex

We enjoyed a wonderful week-end visit from our dear friends and old neighbors earlier this fall.  The boys adored their time with M again.  Love these three together!
Kindergarten rules!  The boys are loving their fun little daily assignments.  I am savoring this year of more fun than work, as we spend our time doing creative endeavors like apple tasting and leaf collecting, and watching the boys journal about these experiences.  Love reading what they have on their mind and their sweet thoughts on the world around them.

We could just sort the coins or we could turn them into fantastic designs...
Dex discovers special effects like tying a hair to a toy to make it seem like it is floating...

 Fall afternoon fun
Our dear little Shea, falling asleep mid-time-out.  Hmmm...

Shea found herself on one of our 80 degree fall days, barefoot in fallen leaves.  Love that.
 Mmmm.... cookies.

Fun with some of our great neighbors!  Jax felt the need to hide in a pile of leaves...
 Dex
How many mini figures can you balance on that plane, Dex?  Today, he added a horse. :)
Love this little girl's giant grins and goofy curls.  SO not ready for her to grow up!

Apple picking fun... everyone had a fantastic case of the sillies...
The kids helped make our first Halloween decoration for the house.  Our spiderweb mat.  Yay!
