Missing my boys

The boys are visiting D.R.'s folks for the next few days. It's the first time they've left home without me and, despite the fact that I'm happy to have this time with Shea, I am having a little trouble getting past how much I'm missing them this afternoon. I'm sure they'll have a fantastic time and I'm sure tomorrow will be easier for me... but for now, I'm missing their creative antics and silliness. Wednesday won't come soon enough for me!

In the meantime, I have my little bug who is entertaining me with her own hilarious version of Darth Vader's theme song. It's pretty awesome that she's following in her brothers' footsteps, as far as deep admiration for John Williams goes.

Missing the noises of the boys makes me remember the day my friend Chris came over with his drums and percussion instruments for the kids to play around with. Of course, the kids surprised us by being far more interested in hiding out in the giant conga bags... but it was all fun. :)

Dave took Lily out this morning for about an 1.5 hours and I couldn't get over how quiet it was with just Audrey here! I imagine the different is even more when you are missing TWO boys!

That was one fun day on drumming and hiding in drum bags. We should do that again soon.

Also, I hope the word "boys" in the title somehow also includes me. I miss you too.
